Building better communities beyond providing complex infrastructure.
Abergeldie is in the privileged position of being able to tangibly improve and connect communities by delivering projects that have a direct impact such as water and wastewater facilities, rail track reconditioning and station upgrades, bridge and walkways infrastructure. Our mission to build better communities goes beyond providing complex infrastructure, it is deeply embedded in our culture and values as an engineering business.
We care about giving back to the communities where we live and work
Since being established in 1994, Abergeldie has given back 0.1% of annual revenue (not profit) to local charity organisations. Giving back to the communities where we live and work is part of who we are as an engineering business.
Reconciliation Action Plan and Aboriginal Participation
In February 2021, Abergeldie was formally endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. Abergeldie’s commitment to reconciliation and the development of our REFLECT Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is deeply embedded in our mission to build better communities.
Long term commitments
Abergeldie is committed to help those experiencing poverty and homelessness through supporting St Vincent de Paul Society. For over 13 years, Abergeldie has sponsored the Western Sydney Food Van with many staff volunteering their time monthly providing company, support, and food to those who need it. Since 2009, Abergeldie has participated in the CEO Sleepout raising over $1m. Abergeldie and staff have also volunteered and fundraised for the Community Sleepout since its inaugural year in 2018.
We are locals
Abergeldie is a locally and privately owned company and caring for the communities where we live and work is part of who we are. In the true Abergeldie Way, our staff continues to volunteer their valuable time and experience to local communities. Local employment and procurement strategies are developed for each project. In recent years, we have partnered with local organisations to help raise funds for regional medical assistance, mental health and educate the younger generation on the built environment.
Diversity and inclusion
We are passionate about fostering a diverse and inclusive culture that promotes and values different perspectives and backgrounds. We believe that innovative ideas are driven by collaboration and understanding the value of unique perspectives. We ensure respectful treatment of all individuals, regardless of ability, background, or personal characteristics through our policies on equal opportunity and diversity, discrimination, bullying and harassment, and code of business conduct and ethical behaviour.

Our multi-skilled workforce is the backbone of our business and providing opportunities for professional development is how we encourage improvement.
